The goal of this project was to design and construct a chair using fewer than two sheets of 60" x 80" two-ply corrugated cardboard. Our chair, dubbed "the Bean" by our classmates and professors, was stable and strong and easily assembled and disassembled. It could also be oriented in two ways for two different uses: one where the chair sits upright for work-related tasks and the other where it lies on its back, acting as a rocking chair/lounger for a more relaxed user experience.
